New Covid-19 Changes in the Studio... Or what we were already doing with a few added steps.

Updated: Jul 9, 2020

Hello everyone! I am so excited to announce that we are able to open the doors to in-studio sessions again! As of June 15th, I was able to start doing outdoor sessions abiding by the 2 metre rule and now as of July 4th we are able to do many of the indoor sessions! There are many guidelines that need to be enforced to ensure you and your families safety during the session. Since my studio is based out of my home, it is not fully unexposed to the outside world. I have taken many steps to ensure the cleanliness of the studio as to not expose you to any harm. Hopefully, this post will help inform you of the steps being taken to safeguard you and your families from possible exposure. I have been working very hard to make sure that the studio is a safe space for my clients.

There is an attached document giving some simple guidelines as to the new process.

Some of the new studio policies are as follows:

There will be only one session scheduled each day allowing for approximately 24 hours between each session. This allows me to deep clean after and prior to each session. Any fabrics that come into contact will be immediately thrown into the wash following the session. Items that are not able to be thrown in the wash, will be hand washed, sprayed with a disinfectant and will not be used for at least 3 days unless requested by the parents. (The parents will be notified of its use.)

First and foremost everyone's health and safety is our number one priority. Please, if there is any sickness at all please contact me and we will reschedule the session if possible. Temperatures will need to be taken by all parties attending the session including myself. IF there are any high temperatures, please stay home and we will work on scheduling a date when everyone is healthy.

My studio has very limited space, so where possible only one parent may attend a child's session, or in the case of a newborn, only the immediate family. Social distancing will need to be followed in the studio as I am able to do most things without getting close, with the exception of a newborn session. I will need to hold the baby to be able to properly wrap and pose them. To further safety, I will also be wearing gloves, mask and a gown during the newborn session to help safeguard them as much as possible.

I also request that all attendees remove their shoes upon entrance and wear a mask during the duration of the session. There will also be gloves available for your use, if you would like to wear them.

Upon arriving I will also ask that you wash your hands prior to coming into the studio. There will be hand sanitizers placed in multiple locations in the studio for your use. I will be washing my hands prior to the session and multiple times throughout the session as well.

In the studio you will be able to look at the client wardrobe and props, however I ask that you please do not touch them. If you would like to look at something for possible use please ask me and I will be more than happy to grab it! This will lower the amount of exposure to possible clients that may use those items in future sessions.

Your families health and safety is my number one priority so please let me know of any concerns you may have prior to your session. I am closely following new guidelines from GOV.UK as they come out and am working hard to abide by all guidelines during your sessions.
