MILESTONE AND FIRST YEAR SESSIONS
Oh how our little ones grow so fast! Here at Cassie Christiansen Photography I value the importance of capturing their little milestones. Within the first year of life they change so much! Capturing those little milestones of tummy time, rolling, grabbing those sweet little toes, sitting, the cute little drool running down their chin and those sweet little smiles and giggles that light up the room . Before you know it they are up and running and you will be thankful you captured this first year to be able look back on your sweet babe.
These moments are not only captured for you but also for them! It gives you something tangible to look back on with them and show them how much they were loved.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Cassie Studio does come fully stocked with everything necessary for beautiful images. However, you may bring any special blankets, heirlooms, or stuffed animals that you would like to incorporate into a setup. Please confirm any items you wish to bring with Cassie, prior to the session. This allows her time to create a cohesive setup to best showcase your items.
The studio is stocked with many cute sitter and one year outfits that you are able to use. We will discuss all setup themes, outfits, and prop use prior to each session.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
The session itself will take around an hour. We will focus on capturing your sweet babies little features in 1-2 different setups allowing us to perfectly capture their little milestones. Most milestone sessions are around 3/4, 6/7, and 9 months where we capture tummy time, grabbing toes, smiles, and those cute little rolls, sitting, rolling, putting anything and everything in their mouths, playing, having fun, and those famous little giggles. Each sessions marks a new achievement for your little ones development!
CAKE SMASH SESSIONS
For the first year sessions, it is very typical to book a cake smash session where we would capture portraits of you child in a themed setup digging into their very first cake! Together, you and Cassie will design the perfect setup for your child's ONE YEAR session! These sessions should be booked 6-8 weeks in advance to make sure the design and items needed available. As these setups can require ordered items. Cassie also has many themed backdrops available in studio for use.
This portrait session can also include a bath playtime at the end in a vintage claw foot tub or a an antique washing tub. This time allows them to splash and play in a milk bath with bubbles and is often the funnest time of the session!
It is common for it to take some children longer to get comfortable to new faces and being in a new place. It may be helpful to bring some bribery items such as little snacks, comfort toys, fun songs ready to play on your phone! Anything that will help them to smile!
We will do all we can to bring high energy that is fun for your little one!
The outfit will be provided unless we do not have a coordinating outfit, in which you will be able to purchase your own. I ask that you share your clothing choices prior to purchasing to confirm the quality and standard of the outfit. We want your images looking as elegant as possible so all items need to tie in perfectly!
You may wish to opt out of a cake and that is perfectly okay! This is all about you celebrating you and your babies journey! Here at Cassie Christiansen Photography we love to create new setups for each individual session. There are no two the exact same! We love capturing the individual personalities of each child as every journey is unique.
This is a fun filled session to let them play and be themselves. We can incorporate songs and bubbles if they need a little something to bring out those infamous giggles and smiles!

WHAT IF MY LITTLE ONE STILL NAPS?
Most little's at this age still nap. We only schedule one session a day, so we will work around their nap schedule. It is important to have a well rested and fed little one for the session. The session should be scheduled for when the baby is happiest during the day!
